Police Beat 1 (northeast Roseville)

East Roseville Parkway, commercial burglary: At 9:20 p.m. on February 14, officers responded to a burglary alarm at an automotive business on Plumber Way.  They found that someone had broken a window and possibly entered the business, but nothing appeared to be missing.

Police Beat 2 (east Roseville)

Johnson Ranch, vehicle burglaries:  There were three vehicle burglaries or attempted vehicle burglaries in this neighborhood in the early morning hours of February 18.  Between 2:30 and 6:30 a.m. on February 18, someone went into a car parked in a driveway on Woburn Court and took a laptop computer and phone chargers.  There was no sign of forced entry into the vehicle.  During the same time frame, someone smashed the windows of a car parked in the driveway of a home in the 5900 block of Silkwood Way and took a laptop computer, iPod and iPad, and broke the windows of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home in the 4700 block of Allegretto Way.  Nothing was taken from that vehicle.

Tip: Please don't leave valuable items in your vehicle.  The safest place to park your car is inside your locked garage, but if that's not possible, roll up your windows, lock all doors and remove all valuable items, including your garage remote control.

Johnson Ranch, stolen vehicles:  Between February 12 and February 18, two vehicles, a 1996 Honda Accord four-door sedan and a red 1991 Acura Integra two-door were stolen at separate times from the parking lot of an apartment complex at 1751 East Roseville Parkway.

Maidu, suspicious circumstances: Sometime before 1:30 p.m. on February 13, someone tried to pry the door leading from the side yard into the garage of a home in the 2100 block of Van Ness Drive.  Fortunately no one got in and nothing was taken.

Maidu, residential burglary:  Between 4 p.m. on February 17 and 11:30 a.m. on February 18, someone forced open the front door of a home on Boston Commons Place and burglarized the house while the residents were away. It's unknown at this time what was taken.

Maidu, theft of mail: Between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. February 17, someone stole a small package of outgoing mail from a mailbox in the 1700 block of Lariat Loop.

South Cirby, residential burglary:  Between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on February 16, someone entered a home in the 1900 block of Vista Creek Drive, possibly through the garage side door, and took jewelry.

Cirby Ranch, residential burglary:  At 1:47 a.m. on February 19, officers responded to a burglary alarm at a home in the 1300 block of Greenborough Drive, and found the front door had been kicked open while the residents were away. It's unknown at this time what, if anything, was taken.

Sierra Gardens, residential burglary:  Between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on February 17, someone pried open a window in the rear of the house and got into a home in the 1700 block of Tanglewood, taking a TV, a laptop computer, jewelry, and other small items.

Meadow Oaks, suspicious fire:  At about 4 p.m. on February 16, Roseville Fire Department firefighters investigated a smell of smoke near the creek off the 1800 block of Blue Jay Drive, and found a couple of burned-out spots (one possibly made at an earlier date) in the vegetation.  A juvenile wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and a backpack was seen leaving the area.

Police Beat 3 (Central Roseville south of the tracks)

Theiles Manor, theft:  At 4:30 p.m. on February 16, someone stole a power leaf-blower from the back of a pickup on La Rue Alley.  A male suspect was seen driving away from the area in a silver Nissan Frontier pickup.

Cherry Glen/Riverside, mail theft:  A couple of small businesses on Oak Street and Riverside Avenue that have mail slots in their front doors where customers can drop payments after hours reported that checks have been taken recently, apparently by people reaching through or "fishing" through the mail slots. Businesses that accept after-hours payments might want to consider installing a lock-box.

Folsom Road, attempted burglary:  A resident of Macario Court reported that her window screens had been pried and damaged. No entry was made and nothing was taken.

Police Beat 4: (Central Roseville north of the tracks)

Roseville Heights, vandalism:  Between noon and 3 p.m. on February 16, someone smashed the window of a pickup in the 200 block of West Duranta Street. Nothing was taken.

Police Beat 5 (north central Roseville)

Highland Reserve, stolen and recovered stolen vehicles:  Between 10 a.m. on February 16 and 7:30 a.m. on February 17, someone stole a red Nissan Pathfinder pickup from Halley Glen Drive. The Sacramento Police Department found it the next day, in their jurisdiction. On February 18, on Hallissy Drive, Roseville officers found an unoccupied white Toyota Tacoma pickup that had been stolen from Sacramento.

Highland Reserve, theft:  Sometime overnight February 20/21, someone removed the tires from a car parked in a driveway on Camelot Drive.

 Police Beat 6 (west Roseville)

We had a couple of crimes of opportunity in Beat 6 over the past couple of days.  Remember that it only takes a minute to give an opportunity to a thief who might be passing by.

Woodcreek, theft
: At about 7:10 a.m. on February 20, a resident of the 1000 block of Caswell Drive left a briefcase in the driveway and went back into the house. He returned two minutes later, and his briefcase was gone.  A citizen later found the victim's property alongside Antelope Road, and returned it to the victim.

Junction West, vehicle theft: At about 8 a.m. on February 21, a red 1998 Dodge Neon was taken from a driveway in the 1800 block of Iceberg Lane.  The owner had left it momentarily while it was running, with the keys in the ignition, and it was stolen. No suspect was seen.
