The event is being held in conjunction with other collection locations throughout Placer County with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Agency. Roseville's collection locations are being sponsored by Environmental Utilities, which operates the city’s wastewater and solid waste utility, in partnership with the Roseville Police Department, Placer Youth Coalition and the Roseville Joint Union High School District.
Roseville residents are invited to come and participate in the water taste test on a drop-in basis on the following days and locations:
Thursday, October 14 at the Roseville Utility Exploration Center, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. located at 1501 Pleasant Grove Boulevard, Roseville
Monday, October 18 at the Maidu Community Center, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. located at 1550 Maidu Drive, Roseville
Name A Park - City of Roseville residents have until Sept. 21 to submit their suggestions on a new park name for a park in the West Roseville Specific Plan area. The 2.5 acre pocket park (F-98) is located north of Blue Oaks Boulevard off of Hayden Parkway and Angus Road. The design has been presented to the Parks & Recreation Commission and is posted on the City's web page.

Police Chief Michael Blair to retire in April 2011 - August 9, 2010—Giving the City of Roseville a lead time of eight months to select his replacement, Roseville Police Chief Michael Blair submitted a letter today to City Manager Ray Kerridge indicating his intent to retire on Friday, April 8, 2011 to coincide with his 50th birthday, making him eligible for retirement, after 24 ½ years of service.
Roseville Electric’s business lighting program is off to a tremendous start - Combining Federal Economic Stimulus Funds with existing public benefit program funds, Roseville Electric is offering generous lighting rebates to small business owners. The rebates can cover up to 100 percent of the cost for a standard installation.
