Free back-to-school immunization clinics in August

Back to school image.

Placer County is offering free back-to-school immunization clinics in August for children without access to vaccines. Children who are uninsured or have Medi-Cal can attend clinics in Roseville and Auburn. Learn more

Board of Supervisors meets in Tahoe next week

At their meeting July 24 in Kings Beach, the Placer County Board of Supervisors will consider a series of proposed visitor-serving projects in eastern Placer County and possibly purchasing a property east of Tahoe City for workforce housing. They'll also hear presentations on potential funding strategies to help meet the goals of the county's Tourism Master Plan, and the Mountain Housing Council's progress in addressing the local housing crisis. Heritage Trail Museums Tour returns to Lincoln and Wheatland

The Heritage Trail continues this Saturday, July 21, in west Placer and Yuba County. Stop by the Wheatland History Museum from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and the Lincoln Area Archives Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and the museums are air conditioned! Learn more

The Purpose of RCONA

·         To raise the level of community participation by citizens for improving and maintaining the quality of life within the City of Roseville.

·         To work with neighborhood associations in resolving social, physical and economic problems within a neighborhood, and deal with other important neighborhood issues.

·         To facilitate communications within and between neighborhoods.

·         To provide instruction and support to neighborhood association leader.

·         To pursue funds from all sources for use in the community and neighborhoods.

·         Revitalize inactive neighborhoods.

·         Organize the residents, property owners, organizations and businesses within each area into a neighborhood association.

·         Bring all neighborhoods together in a coalition of associations.
